May 20th, 2010 Please help reduce carbon input by joining BIKE TO WORK DAY. Ventura Velo.Org will be hosting a Cycling Rest
Stop at the Ventura County Government Center at 800 S. Victoria Avenue Ventura,
CA 93009 Water, snacks, freebies & bike related information will be given to
participants! Venturavelo is also sponsoring the Downtown Rest Stop in Ventura It will be located
in the Mini Park at the Corner of California and Santa Clara Streets. Be sure to follow traffic laws, wear a helmet, and ride safely. Use flashing lights on your bike to increase your visibility.
Get together with friends at work and create a riding team to work together. Riding with a group is fun and much safer. can help make arrangements with your employer. at 805/645-1424.

RECAP 2009 On Bike to Work Day 09, the Ventura had 3 rest stops supporting bicycle commuters with many more riders participating
than in previous years. THANKS to everyone that rode and all who helped make the 2009 event successful! 1) Ventura Velo staffed the rest stop at the County Government Center on Victoria from 6 to 10 AM. Cycle Dynamics Of Ventura mechanic Joey made bike adjustments for free. Snacks & goodies were provided by Trader Joe's, Ventura
Velo & Ventura County Air Pollution Control District. Performance also held a Bike to Work
Seminar on May 7. 3) There was a rest stop downtown with a UNCLE TREN Bike Tours donated superb mechanical bike skills with refreshments provided by City of Ventura on California Street at
Santa Clara Street from 6 to 9 AM.
CSUCI hosted a rest stop on the 13th. Check out their information.
